Love Sac Shenanigans

Just so happens, JC has always wanted one of those huge bean bag chairs.

Just so happens, right around Fathers' Day, we had some friends looking to be rid of theirs.

Perfect.

As time has gone on, though, I'm not entirely sure these were a gift for him as much as they are a new large, sturdy playground for them to jump on, wrestle with, spill their drinks on and sometimes fall asleep on.

Then again, that used to be his job description, so maybe it does provide him with a nice little break. :)

We took some pictures on one of the many days that the kids amused themselves (and us) with their bravery and grace, launching off the couch and on to their trusty gigantic pillows.

Getting it going...

Getting a little crazy...

and a little graceful.

Bethany focuses on the pure joy of flying through the air.

James prefers to focus on height.

Giving it a little twist!

Wheeee!

And ready...set...

GO!!!

Twirling through the air making her "pretty face"
(We're in that phase where, instead of giving a big ol' toothy smile for pictures, Bethany has established that it's "prettier" to tilt her head to the side, peer out from underneath her lashes and give a tight-lipped grin. You know what I'm talking about. I think every little girl goes through this phase.)
Here, it does make for a darn cute picture.

On another day that they were doing this, James wasn't as lucky with his landing...

But he tried...tried...

again!

Doesn't it make you want to do it too?

The whole thing is a little intimidating for Ben still, but every once in a while he gives it a try.
Yay Ben!

He even gets a good landing in.
These things are seriously saving our summer! So hot outside, so much energy to burn off! Bust out the love sacs! They let us play harder, nap more often (they are so comfortable and cozy that if I put James - - who had stopped napping) in them for their rest time, he will actually fall asleep sometimes!), and laugh a lot.
It's a fun addition to our playroom and hopefully we will have them for many summers to come! Ooh, though I can imagine they are going to be wonderful in the winter as well...so cozy and warm to snuggle on!
Thanks Jimmy and Heidi! We are getting a lot of use out of them, if you can't tell! And you are welcome to come play, nap or laugh with us any time! :)

I love the pictures, so cute! I am glad you are getting good use out of them! I am even more happy I have some room in my family room now ;)

i love that they match your room too! but i have to say...you are really brave to let them jump that much that high! not that i don't agree with the using-up-energy thing, but i just saw my sis-in-law's kid with the 4th broken bone for their family. ok, but don't go get all paranoid on me, i guess i'm more proud of you for NOT being nervous about it? ok, actually, pretend i didn't say anything. :)
