This year we split Thanksgiving between lunch at my parents' house and dessert at a park with JC's dad's side of the family.
JC and Bonnie always bond over the carving of the turkey. They both like to eat pieces of the skin while the rest of us make grossed-out faces at them.
Little Cynthia was with us for her first holiday season!
The kids had some fun playing out back at Grandma and Grandpa's while the food finished cooking.
Grandma always makes a fun kids' table for the meal!
After we ate, it was more outside time!
Andrew and Bonnie took the opportunity to get some pictures taken and they were so cute!
Sometimes it takes a village to make the baby smile!
Or...it just takes mom turning her upside-down!
We joined the Ballards at a park to enjoy more time with family.
The big event of the afternoon seemed to be feeding the ducks.
James conquered this wall. Repeatedly.
And Bethany did plenty of running around.
A playground is always a bonus!
Especially with cousins!
The holidays are more and more fun every year as the kids get older and we make new traditions and memories. We don't get to spend time with all sides of the family every year, so this one was a nice balance!
